A world that listens
Friends who really listen
Tokaboo hears each word, notices when a sound is almost there, and shows how to say it, all in a few seconds.
A friend says the word
The word's picture pops up and your child's buddy says it clearly.
Your child has a go
Tokaboo listens only during their turn. A star pops up the moment it hears a voice.
Tokaboo listens back
It checks every sound in the word: spot on, almost there, or a different word.
Gentle help, right away
If a sound needs work, Tokaboo underlines it, says the word slowly and gives another go.

What your child sees
Spot on!
Every sound in the word was there.
Almost!
Most sounds were there. Tokaboo shows the one to listen for.
Listen for the snake sound!
Let's try again
That sounded like another word. Tokaboo says it slowly for another go.
Like any listening technology, Tokaboo can mishear, especially very young voices. It's a practice guide, never a test.
Not flashcards. A whole world.
Six toy worlds to explore
Eleven friends, songs to dance to and stories to tell, all in 3D. Children can tap a friend for a giggle, a jump or a twirl.

Garden park
Where the friends say hello and splash in the rain.

Boat
Sail away across the sea, singing.

Farmyard
Moo, baa and neigh with the farm friends.

Playroom
Wiggle, freeze and sing the letter sounds.

Bedtime nook
A calm goodnight song before sleep.

Music stage
Sing hello, count along and dance.

Sing and dance
Ten original songs, each in its own place. The friends sing every word and dance to the beat, and the words light up as they're sung.

Every try gets a cheer
No scores. No pressure. Just small wins.
Children collect stars, watch their sound garden grow, and want to come back tomorrow.
- A star for every word, and a cheer for every go
- No red crosses and no fail screens
- A sound garden where each practised sound grows into a flower
- Short sessions that fit around naps, meals and school runs
- Seed
- Sprout
- Bud
- Bloom

Built for little voices, and careful with them too
Tokaboo listens on the phone itself. Your child's voice is checked in the moment and never recorded, uploaded or shared.
- No ads, ever
- No third-party analytics in the children's area
- A grown-up check before anything outside the children's area
- Parents hold the account and can delete it any time

How it will workFAQ
Questions parents ask
Does Tokaboo replace speech therapy?
No. Tokaboo supports everyday practice at home. It doesn't diagnose, treat or cure speech or language difficulties, and it doesn't replace a speech and language therapist. If you're worried about your child's speech, please talk to a qualified professional.
Which ages is Tokaboo for?
Children aged 1 to 8. You tell us your child's age and Tokaboo picks a track: First Words (1–3), Talking Together (3–5) or Clear Speaker (5–8).
How does Tokaboo know if a word was right?
Tokaboo listens on the phone itself and checks each sound in the word. It can tell a word that's spot on from one that's almost there (like “tat” for “cat”) or a different word, and helps straight away. Like any listening technology it can mishear, especially very young voices, so it's a practice guide, not a test.
Is my child's voice recorded?
No. Listening happens on the device. Tokaboo holds the sound only for a moment to check the word, then lets it go. Nothing is recorded, uploaded or shared.
How long does practice take?
Just a few minutes a day. Sessions are short and playful, so they're easy to fit around naps, meals and school runs.
What if my child doesn't say the word?
That's completely fine. Tokaboo waits, says the word again for another go, and a Next button moves on whenever you like. Every try earns a cheer, and there are no fail screens.
Which devices does Tokaboo work on?
iPhone and iPad with iOS 17 or later. An Android version is planned.
Is Tokaboo available in Arabic?
Tokaboo starts in English. Arabic practice words and an Arabic interface are on the way.
Can I find a speech therapist through Tokaboo?
Soon. We're building a directory where families in Qatar can find speech and language therapists and request a session. Therapists will be independent professionals, and we'll check every licence before a profile is shown.
